Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born February 20, 2003. She is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer. She gained recognition in the latter half of 2010 with her role as the lead in the Disney television shows Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. After joining Geffen and Interscope Records in 2020, Rodrigo released her debut single "Drivers License" that broke numerous records and was one of the top-selling tracks in 2021. This pushed her into the limelight. The single was followed by "Deja Vu", "Good 4 U" and her debut studio album, Sour (2021), that received both critical and commercial success and earned three Grammy Awards. The Disney+ documentary, Olivia Rodrigo Driving Home 2 U, chronicling her musical process and process of creation with Sour and Good 4 U, will be released in 2022.Rodrigo has been able to achieve two Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles as well as one Billboard 200 number-one album, and five multi-Platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Apart from other accolades she has also won an American Music Award, seven Billboard Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named her the 2021 Entertainers of the Year while Billboard announced her as the Woman of The Year in 2022.
Rodrigo received numerous accolades for her contribution to music including three Grammy Awards. [111] Billboard presented her with the Woman of the Award during the 2022 Billboard Women in Music. In addition, she was awarded the Variety Songwriter of the Year honors in 2021,[113] or at the 2022 ASCAP Awards. [114]
