Katy Perry was an American Singer and Songwriter born into an extremely strict and conservative family. While in church, she sang. her early years, she wanted to pursue a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry was permitted to listen to whatever music she liked from her peers, even in spite of her parents' wishes. Perry was always a an obsession with music. As an outspoken person she remained true to her determination to be an artist, and pursued her ambitions. Before she received her first break, she had to face several challenges. She did not achieve success in the first place. The singer had to put several songs on hold before being signed by 'Capitol Records. The album launched her as a singer and never was able to go back after. This was her second album, "Teenage Dreams", which won the hearts of many musicians and was one of the biggest albums to date. Katy Perry became a well-known artist following the release of her album. It broke many records. Perry's charity work is not only known as a song author and performer and songwriter, but also because of her numerous records that she's produced. She's also a proponent of LGBT rights.
