Niykee's personal highlights include getting selected to be part of Snoop on the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, as well as writing songs, despite the turbulence over the last few years. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee constantly sifts through the numerous beats delivered to her. She finds that most beats spark fresh songs. She states that she can tell if the beat is a good one in less than five minutes. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her head. My lyrics come to me while I'm sitting on my porch, playing my guitar. Usually it takes under thirty minutes. As she continues develop her skills as a lyricist, Niykee explains that the pain of her history is an unending source of unlikely inspiration. It's tough to forget memories that are painful from my childhood, and especially losing my younger sister. These memories are incorporated in her music. My music is formed by this and I am able to feel the deeper meaning underneath everything. That's one of the things that is most significant to me.
