Dua lipa is a English artist and performer born August 22, 1995 from London United Kingdom. Following her stint as a model and songwriter, she decided to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album reached 3rd place on the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 in category of British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act and British. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandfathers were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father the guitar player and lead singer of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda.
